The knowing mind

Time is of no consequence when you are in possession of the knowing mind while still alive. The knowing mind is always behind that veil, but always within your grasp as well.

Table golf

Stretch your intuitive muscles with this golf course designed by Hansi. Good for cars and cafés!

The rules are pretty simple:

1) Click on the picture below for a full sized image. Print it on a color printer. Number the holes yourself for a little variety.

2) Put your pencil on one of the stars. Close your eyes. Shoot for the hole. If you touch it, the ball's in (even if you keep drawing, as long as you don't go out of bounds or into a trap).

3) Penalties:
out of bounds - take the next stroke from the point where you went out
sand - take the next stroke with your opposite hand
water - lose a stroke
rocks - take the next stroke with your opposite hand & lose a stroke

4) Hooking a shot is OK, swirling it all over the place isn't.

5) Play with a friend, they can tell you to stop when you're out of bounds or in a trap.

6) Print another sheet and play the back 9. If you want more designs, send us an email.

Enjoy!

One thought

I woke up on this misty morning in Massachusetts thinking about changing my tagline. So far, it's been "one thought leads to the next" - at least I'd like to think so, somehow. But what is that somehow, that thread that ties these thoughts together?

Malidoma talks about the presence of the Spirit World in the reality of his village life in Burkina Faso. But aren't they just an anomaly, a throwback to a primitive past?

Well, if we look a bit indirectly into the crystal ball, perhaps we can discover Spirit speaking through the canvas of an artist or the lyrics of a pop song, through the thoughts and imagination of a friend, through the pulse of the living, breathing Earth.

Perhaps we can discover our own world of wonder.

Sing your song

Fear's a powerful thing . . .
It'll take your God filled soul
And fill it with devils and dust

A brush with royalty

This just in from the Crested Butte News: my cousin's the queen of the Flauschink festival. Winter's over - yeeha!

Flauschink Poems 2005

We’re so glad you made it, we’re happy you’re here
The season has ended, it’s time for some cheer!
It’s been a long winter, we all must agree…
We’re flushing the season so Flauschink is key
Queen Lisa! King Joe! Your reign is all done
You served us so well, we hope you had fun!
As sad as it is, your job is now through
Let’s give them a hand and raise your glass too!
So now is the time to pass on the crown
There are royals amongst you, just look around…

Queen Tracey
Our soon-to-be queen is someone you know
A down to earth lady, a gal on the go
She’s been in the Butte forever it seems
Our queen is fun loving & follows her dreams
A cowgirl at heart, an equestrian queen
When it comes to peace rallies she’ll be on the scene
She loves her guitar, her voice is so sweet
Our royal plays music, her songs can’t be beat
She once wrote a song written of our small town
It was sung by John Denver and heard all around
Our queen is a driver for Mountain Express
A long blond-haired beauty, who’s dating John Hess
So now that you know who your new queen will be
Let’s all give it up for our new queen, Tracey!

King Snyder
And now it is time to bring up the king
Outgoing & witty, this guy’s on the scene
From camping to golfing to hunting for food
Our soon to be king is an out-doorsy dude
The man of the year is an all around guy
With him on your side, your well won’t run dry...
This hard working fellow, he sure gets around
He loves to play golf at the Talk of the Town
He wears a big smile-he’s helpful & sweet
When it comes to fundraising, he takes a front seat!
His wife is a dancer & attends all his “gigs”
He sings for the crowd while she dances her jigs!!
Our king loves his wife and he loves his guitar
His magical voice has brought him quite far
From the mountains back east to the mountains out west
He loves Crested Butte & you all know the rest...
So give a warm welcome to this bearded rock star
Get up here Steve Snyder-don’t run for the car!!

Living in your own private Idaho

This entry is a paraphrase of something written by Adam . . .

You may consider your thoughts to be your own private world, and feel that you can only guess at the thoughts that others are having.

Yet you have the ability to know the gist of other's thoughts, if you consider that ability useful.

Do you have a sense of the reasoning that a friend will use in a coming conversation? Do you have a sense of how others perceive you or your circumstances?

Now is the time to engage your perceptive ability in earnest.

You may feel uncomfortable with knowing other's thoughts in depth, out of respect for their privacy, as if there were really any privacy in this world. That said, you may maintain a certain sense of separation by holding those thoughts you wish to keep private in a state of deliberate disinterest.

When communicating with another person telepathically, work from your mind outward, rather than from their mind inward. Your intention may be stated as, "now I shall look into your thought pattern", or "let me see your deepest thoughts". You may also ask for assistance from your guides, such as "please allow this information to come to me".

If you ask for your own mind to produce this information, you then become like an open book to those with the ability to plunge into your mind. It is better to know your boundaries first. Boundaries are adjustable of course, but only once set.

Know your own inner landscape, and be clear about the picture you are painting for the world to see.

God / man

These are some amazing ovservations by Ralph Miller of Leonardo DaVinci's drawing, Proportions of the Human Figure.

How many more dimensions create our reality than meet the ordinary eye?

Rocky mountain high

Check out this land formation from Google Maps. Stuie talks about the Camelots. Perhaps this is the earth-spirit / guardian of such a sacred place.

Waddaya mean, subscribe?

RSS is a file format used for subscribing to messages, such as blog entries or news articles, which have been posted on some of your (hopefully) favorite web sites.

Instead of checking those sites every day, you can just check your feed reader.

Once you set up a link, it's like checking your email. Look for the rss-button.gif (or XML) button, copy the link location, plug it into your reader, and the new messages appear in your inbox.

Mozilla Thunderbird is a free open-source email reader which also lets you receive RSS syndicated messages.

The Mozilla Firefox browser lets you view current headlines as "live bookmarks", using RSS. There are lots of other free news aggregators available too.
